We are looking for Volunteers!
The refugee support network HammeHilft! has been offering voluntary support for refugees in various areas since 2015, e.g. German lessons and homework support for kids and teens twice a week.
The Team would very much appreciate further volunteers looking forward to get to know you.
Your Team from HammeHilft!
Refugee network HammeHilft!
The Network HammeHilft! is an association made up of members from several congregations, non-profit-making organisations and interested citizens and is very active across the district Bochum-Hamme.
The initiative maintains a clothing distribution point, which is open once a month (opening hours see below) and is active in assisting kids with their homework. The network arranges godparents and actively provides recreational activities.
HammeHilft! has been organising the meeting-café since February 2016. The idea was to bring citizens from the neighborhood and refugees together to talk, play games, listen to (live-) music, have a tea or a coffee, and in short: to have fun together. Thereby it is of special importance for us to show that integration starts with the little things and grows from there.
